The Washington Street Education Center was a busy place on Saturday, April 15, when the 15th Chelsea Spring Expo took place.
“The joint is jumping!” said an enthusiastic Bill O’Reilly, executive director of the Chelsea Senior Center, which presented the expo. “This is the first full Expo since 2019, and we have close to 100 vendors and 25 nonprofits.”
The seniors’ “Best Ever Bake Sale” was bountiful with homemade cookies, cupcakes, brownies, muffins, and much more.
“It’s all baked by the seniors,” said volunteer Mary Williams, who contributed her own peanut butter cookies and brownies. “I enjoy meeting everyone and working with the volunteers at such a good event for the senior center.”
There were plenty of freebies ranging from tote bags to candy along with music and dance performances.
Proceeds from the Expo go to the Chelsea Senior Center.
