21 Years and Counting: Brio Living Services Earns Best and Brightest® Designation

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Lisa French for the information in this story.)

Senior living organization Brio Living Services, formerly United Methodist Retirement Communities (UMRC) & Porter Hills, is proud to announce that it has received the designation of Best and Brightest Company to Work For® in West Michigan.

This is the organization’s 21st consecutive year to receive this honor.

This national program honors organizations that “display a commitment to excellence in operations and employee enrichment,” according to a press release by the National Association for Business Resources (NABR): “Only companies that distinguish themselves as having the most innovative business acumen and human resource practices can be bestowed this honor.”

“We are proud to receive recognition as a Best and Brightest organization in West Michigan for the twenty-first year in a row,” said Brio Living Services Chief Human Resources Officer Michelle Henderson. “This honor is a direct reflection of our team members at Brio Living Services who consistently deliver on our mission each day: Welcoming all, partnering together, enriching lives. Each year we receive this designation, we extend gratitude to our dedicated team members who care so passionately for older adults.”

Jennifer Kluge, president and CEO of NABR and The Best and Brightest Program, said, “Those companies that made the list of Best and Brightest Companies to Work For®, as well as those companies that continue to make the list, are truly remarkable. Given today’s need for talent, retention of talent, and the further issues related to the pandemic, these companies have proven they are superior to market conditions. They are elite thinkers, and this honor demonstrates their commitment to excellence.”

Each company is evaluated by an independent research firm on such key measures as compensation and benefits, employee education and development, creative wellness and wellbeing solutions, recruitment and retention, employee achievement and recognition, and work-life blend to name a few.

NABR has over 25 years of experience in identifying best human resource practices and providing benchmarking for companies, like Brio Living Services, that continue to be leaders in employment standards.

Brio Living Services will be honored, along with other West Michigan Best and Brightest Companies to Work For®, on May 16, 2023 at the Pinnacle Center in Hudsonville, MI.
