The second Taste of Chelsea event at St. Mary Parish on Oct. 6 was a raving success and sold out 24 hours before the event began.

Organized to support St. Louis Center and its residents with developmental disabilities, the event showcased the great culinary skills of many of Chelsea’s finest restaurants, café’s and caterers, and raised a significant amount of money for St. Louis Center in the process, according to information from Joe Yekulis, public relations director for the Servants of Charity.

The event was sponsored by Village Motor Sales – Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep, the following businesses participated: Artic Breakaway, Back to the Roots, Bearclaw Coffee Chelsea, Biggby Coffee Chelsea, Chelsea Big Boy, Common Grill, Cottage Inn Pizza, Ellie’s Chelsea, Fr. Turner’s Rice Pudding, Glee Cake & Pastry, Jet’s Pizza, Jiffy Mix, Laura’s Catering, Main Street Coney Island, Mike’s Deli, Mill Pond Bread, New Chelsea Market, Smokehouse 52 BBQ, Stivers Restaurant, Thompson’s Pizzeria, Wolverine Food & Spirits, and Zou Zou’s Cafe’.

“We are grateful to all of these great Chelsea businesses for their support, and for the many people who came to enjoy the evening to help support us,” said Father Enzo Addari, administrator for the St. Louis Center.
