The Chelsea Area Players Youth Theater (CAP Jr.) will present Disney’s Alice in Wonderland Jr. March 11, 12 and 13 at the Washington Street Education Center.
The Friday and Saturday, March 11 and 12 performances will be at 7 p.m. The Sunday, March 13 performance will be at 3 p.m. Tickets are available at Chelsea Pharmacy or at the door for $10.
The musical features the story from Lewis Carol’s classic book Alice’s Adventure’s in Wonderland, and this fast-paced adaption includes popular Disney songs, I’m Late and The Un-Birthday Song.
Founded in 1972, this is CAP’s 106th production and the 30th for CAP Jr., which CAP developed as a youth theater production company in 1999. The production features over 50 Chelsea and Manchester middle school and elementary school youth.
CAP’s production is produced by Todd Ducsay and Shelley Wheaton and is directed by Alex Moore. Christine Landis is the choreographer. Wheaton, Moore and Landis are veterans of many CAP production teams.
Three different youth will play Alice. Lilian Maynard plays normal-sized Alice, Sara Martin plays Small Alice and Myranda Montoye plays tall Alice.
Charles Korner will play the White Rabbit and Brandon Koch the Mad Hatter. Jordan Nelson is the Caterpillar, Tigerlily Bradley is the Queen of Hearts, Alex Handloser is the King of Hearts. Amelia Nelson and Melody Stone will play Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee. Carolyn Pierce, Katie Moore and Grace Sharrow-Ducsay will play the Cheshire Cat.
