The 7th grade Blue Team from Beach Middle School did a great job with Mitch Albom’s “Time to Help” Detroit project.
The students brought in pop cans and donations to purchase gifts and necessities during a field trip to Meijer for multiple families in need.
The students budgeted their money and clipped coupons to purchase the very best gifts that they could with the money that they raised. Once the gifts were purchased, 11 students were selected, based on an essay submission, to deliver the presents to the families in Detroit at an annual Christmas event.
