The Rotary Club of Chelsea is currently sponsoring a 15-year-old female student from Peru named Sami, but the club is looking for additional host families to finish out the school year.
The “whole idea of hosting an exchange student is the cultural exchange,” said Jerry Wilczynski, youth exchange officer for the club.
“You will share your culture with Sami, and she, in turn, will share her Peruvian culture with your family,” he said in a letter to potential host families.
If you are able to provide a host home for about three months, the length of a Chelsea High School trimester, please contact Wilczynski for an application.
You must live in the Chelsea School District to participate.
