The economic effects of Covid 19 are being felt hard by businesses in Chelsea. Chelsea Update is talking to individual business owners in the area to see how they are coping.

Typically late spring and summer are very busy times for celebratory events like graduations and weddings, but Covid 19 restrictions are preventing large gatherings from taking place. Wesley’s Catering, a Chelsea business that has been around since 2012, wants people to know that it has expanded its business at this time to include a pre-ordered, carry out option.

Wesley’s Catering is working with Robin Hill’s Farm and has a Mother’s Day carry out option available immediately (cutoff May 6 at midnight) for anyone interested in ordering from the Mother’s Day menu:https://www.wesleyscatering.com/cater-for-you-at-home/

Todd Wesley Brown is the owner of Wesley’s Catering, and he is a lifelong resident of Chelsea, who has been a chef for 25 years.

“Our mission is to help entertain with grace and ease,” said Brown. “Your event is always about you. We want to help you to create something special.”

Brown says his catering service prides itself on using the freshest ingredients and “cutting edge cuisine” along with “providing innovative, high quality, handcrafted cuisine that is as creative as it is delicious.”

During this time of Covid 19 restrictions, Brown says his customers have had to postpone events until later in the summer and fall.

“It would be great if people could just spread the word that we are doing this (offering carry out) as we were previously not known in town as a restaurant, so folks may not know we are here and what we are doing,” said Brown.

He is hopeful that by offering the carry-out option, it will help his business get through this difficult time.
