Chelsea State Bank assists nonprofits during pandemic

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Chelsea State Bank for the information in this story.)

Chelsea State Bank has committed further resources to community nonprofits as these organizations struggle to meet the growing needs of local individuals and families during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Chelsea State Bank is well known for the many charitable contributions it makes every year to the businesses, agencies and nonprofits in the communities the bank serves.

Many of these organizations are struggling right now to meet the growing needs of many individuals and families in the communities because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, in addition to many other charitable contributions the bank has made to local agencies throughout the year, Chelsea State Bank has committed further contributions to the following nonprofits at this time: Dexter Community Fund, Faith in Action, Chelsea Senior Center, Silver Maples, Safe House, Avalon Housing, Huron River Watershed Council, Huron Valley Ambulance, Stockbridge Community Outreach, and Neutral Zone.

“As the local community bank, we believe in paying attention to those in our community who need extra help, especially during this pandemic and the holidays,” said Chelsea State Bank Chief Executive Officer John Mann in a press release.

“Most of these organizations are social services and human needs type agencies, serving segments of the population that are struggling right now. Because our most significant contribution was to the Dexter Community Fund, we will have the first named fund in its history – Chelsea State Bank Dexter Community Enrichment Fund. Needless to say, we didn’t expect this – and we are extremely honored. This is a time when we all need to reach out and do a little more for our neighbors,” he said.
