  1. While this looks nice, I think it was huge waste of $$$ for the city to do this. Especially in light of the state wanting to widen M-52 to 4 lanes through Chelsea anyhow so these would be gone.

    • This subject was brought up at a recent Chelsea City Council meeting and City Manager John Hanifan said that as far as he knew, the state did not have plans to widen M-52 through Chelsea.

  2. Can’t understand why flowers in the summer is more important than parking spaces for the whole year. I would think Chelsea having spaces to park is a much friendlier atmosphere for those of us who do do not live right in town or for the many visitors we receive throughout the year. Just seems the planters could have been rectangular and smaller or positioned differently. Chelsea parking spaces have taken a back seat. The trees downtown didn’t cut into our parking spaces-that took some thinking! Now we are about to loose 6 more parking spaces in the dowontown area again to Clearys Pub and to Common Grill? I do appreciate your work but maybe someones hat is on a just little too tight!

    Beauty cannot replace hospitality.
