Tickets for the Chelsea Community Hospital volunteers’ fall raffle are now on sale and proceeds from will be used for the Cancer Center at the hospital.

This year’s prizes include a handcrafted doll house for the first drawing, two Red Wings tickets for the second drawing, two Detroit Piston tickets for the third drawing and two tickets for a Wolverine Girls’ softball game for the fourth drawing.

Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5 and may be purchased from hospital volunteers or in the Arbor Nook Gift Shop located in the lobby at the hospital’s main entrance.

The doll house was made by volunteer Elaine Burkhardt and is on display in the hospital gift shop. Construction of the doll house took about 65 hours and $300 worth of materials.

Burkhardt is an accomplished miniaturist and constructed the house on a 1-inch equals  1-foot scale.

This dollhouse would be fun as an adult hobby or a dream gift for a child says Shirley Hoppe.

“Any of these prizes would make a great gift and this is an opportunity to make a contribution toward the new Cancer Center,” Russ Billau, director of volunteers, said in a press release.

Tickets will be on sale until Nov. 8, and the drawing will be held at the Fall Bazaar on Nov. 13. You do not need to be present to win.
