A Letter to the Community from Chelsea High School Principal Nick Angel

Dear Chelsea Community:

It is with a mix of emotions that I write to inform you of an important change in my professional journey.

I have accepted the position of Superintendent in Grass Lake. While I am very excited about this new opportunity, it is difficult to say goodbye to a school community that has become like a second family to me.

Serving as your principal has been one of the greatest honors of my professional career. My 16 years as a principal at both Beach and Chelsea High School have been a privilege and a pleasure. The dedication, passion, and spirit of our students, staff, and families have been truly inspiring.

Together, we have achieved so much, from academic and athletic successes to building a nurturing and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and supported.

I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished, and I have no doubt that the CHS will continue to thrive under new leadership. The administrative team of Ms. Franco, Mr. Morris and Mr. Cunningham are strong and will guide us moving forward. Our district leadership team will start the process of selecting our new principal this summer and I am confident that this position will attract the best of the best.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you. To the students, thank you for your hard work, creativity, and the joy you bring to the school every day. I have known many of you for a long time and I don’t take our relationship lightly.

To the teachers and staff, your unwavering commitment and professionalism have made this school a place of excellence.

To the parents and community members, your unwavering support have been invaluable in shaping a positive and enriching educational experience.

As I embark on this new chapter in Grass Lake, I carry with me the memories, lessons, and friendships that have defined my 16 years here. I am confident that the strong foundation we have built together will continue to support the growth and success of our school.

Thank you to the Chelsea Community.  Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your lives and for the trust you placed in me as your principal. I will always cherish my time here and look forward to seeing the wonderful things you will achieve in the future.

Go Bulldogs.
