(Chelsea Update would like to thank Vickie Kaiser for the information and photos in this story. And apologize for inadvertently leaving out one winning  photo. It’s now been included.)

It was a beautiful day for the Sounds & Sights’ Classic Car Show organized by the Chelsea Classic Cruisers and about 300 cars were on display at the show.

They came from near and far in Southeast Michigan — Washtenaw, Jackson, Monroe, Ingham, Lenawee, Wayne, Oakland counties and beyond.

Entertainment was provided by Dorkestra and was enjoyed by all.

The Mayor’s Choice trophy winner was selected by Mayor Jason Lindauer, who chose a 2005 Ford Mustang GT owned by Matt Mason of Chelsea.

The Chief of Police trophy winner was selected by Chief Ed Toth and he picked a 1967 Chevy Nova owned by Mike Kingsbury of Manchester.

The Merchant Choice trophy winner was selected by Mark and Cindy Lesser from Parts Peddler, sponsors of the car show. They picked a 1948 Ford COE pickup owned by Jim Knofski of Gregory.

The DPW Choice trophy winner was selected by Derek Bollinger of the Chelsea DPW, who chose a 1936 Chevy pickup owned by

The Sounds & Sights Classic Car Show is the biggest thing that our club does every year and it takes the effort of everyone in the club to make it a success.

The group also organizes and hosts the ‘Cruise Ins’ held at the Chelsea Wendy’s on the first and third Tuesdays from June thru September.

Anyone interested on more information about the club can come and talk to us at Wendy’s or contact me at [email protected].
