Chelsea Center for the Arts (CCA) hosted an art gallery opening for Dennis Turner on Dec. 7 promoting his past and present works for his new book “Before Once Upon A Time.”  Turner’s work is comprised of black-and-white drawings to extravagant color paintings.

Fans of Turner’s work came from all over metro Detroit and the surrounding areas.  Guests ranged from art collectors to local residents enjoying an evening out.

The critically acclaimed Ben Daniels Band, featuring Ben Daniels, played songs to a packed gallery.

This was also the first public event for Anne Williams, who has officially taken over as interim executive director of CCA following the resignation of Lisa Baylis Gonzalez.

Rick Taylor has taken on the role of president of the Board of Directors while Shannon Kuchera has accepted the role of vice president.

“The CCA is honored to help facilitate the amazing works of Dennis Turner, his work has been well received by so many,” said Williams.

Feel free to visit the CCA’s Art Gallery to see Dennis’s work, which are available for purchase through Jan. 25, 2014.
