Even though the calendar says it’s still summer, now is the time to order your fall mums.
The annual sale of these colorful flowers raises funds to help pay for Special Olympics events throughout the year.
Single color mums—available in yellow, white, red, rust, and purple—come in a 2-gallon pot with an 8-inch plant for $11.
A multicolor bushel-size potted mum is also available for $30.
Orders can be submitted online at this link no later than Sept. 5. The mums, which are homegrown at Pinter’s Flowerland and Greenhouse in Belleville, will be ready for pickup at Chelsea High School, Door 4 (Independence Hall) from noon until 5 p.m. on Sept. 17.
