The Michigan Classics softball club will be hosting its annual clinic for Little League girls in Chelsea or other area youth ballplayers.
They welcome all ages 12U and younger and will kick off the season by teaching the fundamentals of the game and easy fun drills. Each age division will be gathered together with a similar skilled group and led by one of our many Classics Heat 16U players.
Players will experience both fielding and hitting sessions for 2 full hours for a low cost of $20 per person. Parents and coaches are welcome to attend free as well and come onto the field to watch and learn, too.
Coach Laura Ouellette who has coached a team for years in this local travel club said, “this is an opportunity for our team to pass along the drills they have mastered and that have made them successful on the ballfield. They will also get to work on their communication and mentoring these young athletes. I love this fundraiser each year because our team has the chance to be engaged with the community and get other young girls excited about the sport.”
There will also be a few training package start-up kits that include a brand new net, tee, balls, padded bucket and wiffle balls. These will be first come first serve at a great price of $100. All money raised goes directly to the team for tourney fees and uniforms.
