April 6: Road Commission representatives speakers at Kiwanis Club meeting

The Kiwanis Club of Chelsea, in its 91st year, holds a weekly meeting on Monday nights at 6:15 p.m. in the St. Joseph Mercy-Chelsea cafeteria.

The featured speakers will be on April 6 will be Doug Fuller, chairman of the Washtenaw County Road Commission Board of Directors and Roy Townsend, managing director of the Road Commission.

They will speak to the group about the statewide ballot proposal in May asking whether the state’s sales tax should be raised from 6 to 7 percent in an effort to repair Michigan’s roads.

The speakers typically begin at 6:45 p.m., and everyone is invited to the meetings to learn about Kiwanis.
