Bee a part of it.

Chelsea District Library’s Mobile CDL is aimed at expanding access to the Chelsea District Library’s materials, staff, technology and services.

The surrounding townships account for 106 of the 110 square miles in the library’s service area and 65% of its population. Research indicates library usage increases with proximity to the building.

Mobile CDL will address the geographic barriers of the library’s service area, increase accessibility to library materials and services, and encourage greater library participation.

We need your help. The Chelsea District Library Board of Trustees has set an ambitious goal of raising the final 10 percent of the Mobile CDL project. The Friends of CDL want to support this effort and will kick off the Friends Matching Challenge on Aug.15. The Friends of the Library will double your donation with a dollar for dollar match – up to a total of $1,000. Donate at mobilecdl.org or drop a check off at the library between Aug.15 and Sept.15. Every dollar you donate will be doubled.

The Friends of CDL is a member-supported, nonprofit organization that fundraises, advocates and works with community members and volunteers to provide support for the Chelsea District Library’s programs and events.

You can become a member of the friends or be a library volunteer by going to friends.chelseadistrictlibrary.org. Help to maintain a strong, thriving library community.
