Don’t miss the Wednesday Chelsea Farmers Market. It’s conveniently located and loaded with a huge selection of freshly harvested fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

August means sweet corn and tomatoes, cucumbers and zucchini, eggplant, peppers, carrots, cabbage and so much more.

Michigan cherries are still available as are blueberries, melons, peaches, nectarines, and plums.

Enjoy a freshly picked bouquet of flowers and follow your nose to Good Times Kettle Corn.

Don’t forget to enjoy fresh baked goods, too – cakes, cookies, and breads.

The Wednesday market is located at the Chelsea State Bank parking lot, at 1010 S. Main St., near the corner of Old US-12 and M-52, and runs from 1-5 p.m.

There is a new regional (Chelsea, Grass Lake, Manchester and Stockbridge) food assistance program to help get healthy market food on the tables of those in need. It’s aimed at folks who don’t quite meet SNAP criteria. Be sure to inquire at the market.
