Aug. 3: Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights Lineup

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Bridget Favre for the information in this story.)

Now in its ninth week, Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights, presented by Golling Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Chelsea, continues its free summer concert series Thursday, Aug.3 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Professional artists perform at 10 staged areas located throughout downtown Chelsea featuring music, dance, and family entertainment.

This week, urban folk trio Annie and Rod Capps with Jason Dennie return to Katie’s Korner on the library lawn. At South Street, local favorites Los Dingos Del Norte perform classic rock while singer songwriter, Mia Green, takes the stage at East Alley.

Blues artists Brian Brickley and the Martindales will be at the West Side Gym Lot on West Middle, and Delbert Walling and Haley Houtz perform a mix of pop, indie and country at the Glazier Building. North Congress showcases classic rock and blues at the Clocktower Gazebo.

New to Sounds and Sights, The Seatbelts perform rock n’ roll on East Middle Street, and indie duo Dede Alder and Josh Holcomb debut at Chelsea Alehouse Brewery.

Fun for the whole family continues with Eric the Juggler at the Clocktower Courtyard stage, and 3 Generations Balloons for the kids at Main Street Alley.

Chelsea Chalk Art, beneath the Chelsea Clocktower on Main Street, provides chalk and drawing examples for all ages and levels of expertise. The theme this week is “Cartoon Network”.

Visitors are also encouraged to take in the sights of the Chelsea SculptureWalk, and the Chelsea Portrait Project which hangs on the corner of Jackson and Main Street.

After Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights, SRSLY Cinema presents free outdoor movies at dusk. This week SRSLY presents Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children (PG-13).
