Aug. 4: check out Heim Gardens at the Saturday Farmer Market

For 17 years, Heim Gardens has been a vendor at the Chelsea Farmers Market. The family farm has been around for 147 years and is located in Sylvan Township.

Glenn and Mary Heim own the farm, and their son, Kevin is the vendor who sells a variety of fresh produce at the Saturday market.

That produce is grown on the family’s vegetable farm with five greenhouses.

This Saturday, you’ll find tomatoes, green beans, cabbage, gourds, and radishes as well as fresh flowers and hanging baskets at the Heim Farm stand.

At the market, you’ll also find corn, potatoes, onions, cucumbers, beets, and herbs as well as fresh breads, cakes, and cookies.

The Saturday Chelsea Farmers Market runs from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. and is located in the municipal parking lot by the library along Park Street.
