Silver Maples of Chelsea will host a Vintage, Antique and Collectible Sale on Thursday, Aug. 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Proceeds from the estate and moving sale will benefit the Resident Council Scholarship Fund and the Silver Lining Fund.

The items range from vintage furniture, antiques, and unique artifacts collected from around the world over the course of two lifetimes. Each item is in excellent condition.

“It’s truly a collector’s or interior designer’s dream,” said Shawn Personke, director of wellness and public relations for Silver Maples of Chelsea.

“There’s over 130 items that range from beautiful objet d’art, folk-inspired furniture, vintage items made of wood, functional antiques … just so many cool things,” she added.

The Resident Scholarship Fund was created to provide money for Silver Maples high school wait staff that will be going to college.

“Being a waiter in our dining rooms is such a great job for high schoolers,” said Personke. “They learn so many valuable life lessons – work ethic, communication, teamwork –and our residents get a chance to interact with young people, learning about their “modern” lives, technology, and humor.”

The Silver Lining Fund is an emergency fund that provides for Silver Maples that may be outliving their assets.

All items are full price until 3 p.m. when other offers will be considered. The sale will be held in the Maples Room and no early sales or previews will be offered.  Silver Maples is located at 100 Silver Maples Dr.
