Everyone is invited to view the Shared Humanity Gallery 100 show at Silver Maples of Chelsea and listen to the Storytelling hour at 2 pm on Saturday, Aug. 6. Silver Maples Gallery 100 has partnered with University of Michigan’s Prison Creative Arts Project for the exhibit and the event.
In this storytelling hour, learn about the lives of artists that created work in prison. Hear first-hand about their experiences and the impact art-making had on their time behind the walls.
This event is hosted by the Prison Creative Arts Project. Admission is free and open to anyone interested.
Art sales will take place at this event and funds go directly to supporting the artists.
