Beach Middle School Cross Country Competes in Last Jamboree of Season

On Wednesday, Oct, 20, the Chelsea Beach Middle School cross country team ran at a muddy Munson Park in Monroe.

The girls varsity team placed 6th out of 9 teams. Sam Bieber led the group with a 9th place finish followed by Zora Ziolkowski in 15th place. Other scorers were Lissa Krueger in 41st place, Leighton Diesing in 57th place, Audrey Norton in 65th place, Aleeah Wells in 69th place, and Aero Rexter in 78th place.

On the boys side, the varsity placed 4th out 9 teams. Linus Helzerman was the top boy runner with a 20th place followed by Wyeth Angus (25th), AJ Smith (26th), Owen Thoburn (28th), and Alex Martin (34th).

The reserve boys team placed 3rd out of 7 teams. Liam Favre had a strong run and placed 19th in the race. The reserve group also included Nic Peal (20th), Leo Alfafita (34th), Bradley Dunn (35th), Dylan Hodges (46th), and Matt Hurden (71st) who all ran solid races in the mud. Overall, we had a good time representing Beach Middle School at the last SEC Jamboree of the season.
