Chelsea Beach Middle School cross country team raced at Hudson Mills Metropark on Wednesday.
Chelsea had 16 out 22 runners who achieved personal records (PRs) in the 2-mile races.
The Chelsea girls varsity placed 7th out of 9 teams at the SEC Jamboree #2 at Hudson Mills. Sam Bieber led the team by placing 4th overall with a PR.
Mireille Hunter and Lissa Krueger were 2nd and 3rd on the team and ran solid races. Also, Aleeah Wells and Audrey Norton raced well and obtained PRs.
The boys varsity squad placed 3rd out of 9 teams without top key runners. Leading the team was AJ Smith and Wyeth Angus each achieving PRs. Also, Owen Thorburn, Miles Dell, and Alex Coy dropped significant time to help the team.
Finally, the boys reserve team placed 3rd out 8 teams. Liam Favre, Jack Meehan, Sam Clifton, Leo Alafita, and Bradley Dunn were top five finishers for the group and most ran PRs.
