7th grade
The Beach Middle School 7th grade football team hosted Jackson Parkside Middle School for an exciting game that ended in a 24-22 loss for the Dogs.
Caden Steele ran the ball for 3 touchdowns on the day while Luke Cavanaugh, Buck Allen, and Beckett Boos all supported a great offensive day for the dogs.
EJ Milan forced and recovered a huge fumble late in the game while Alex Venegas had huge tackles for loss as well. Brady McKale and the punt team executed perfectly in the 4th quarter to pin the Vikings back before the final drive.
It came down to the final play of the game with Chelsea on the 20-yard line going into score but came up just a couple yard short.
The Dogs will host Bedford next week.
8th grade
The Beach Middle School 8th grade football team lost to Jackson 34-0 Tuesday night.
The Bulldogs were not able to overcome 5 turnovers and had a tough time moving the ball against a strong Jackson front. Offensively Richard Montoye and Ethan Povlich had a couple strong runs. A couple big stops were made on defense when Drew Weinberg and Jimmy Sciackitano made interceptions.
The Bulldogs will look to regroup next week when they host Bedford.
