Only one 2-mile race was held Ella Sharp Park in Jackson on Wednesday due to the weather conditions.
The Beach Middle School girls cross country team placed 2nd out 9 SEC teams. The top three teams were Saline with 23 points, Chelsea with 82, and Temperance Bedford with 102.
The seven girls who raced were as follows: Trilian Krug, Seren Angus, Addison Sinkwitts, Sam Dark, Marah Putnam, Cristina Roberts, and Lauren Thompson. These girls raced as a team and moved up through the field. One of the best middle school race outcomes I have been a part of, said coach Loren Thorburn.
