Beach Middle School swimmers began its season with a big win on Dec. 12.
The swim team opened with a big win over Adrian, 138-31, which included a school record in the 200 medley relay. Kurt Jolly, Preston Ewald, Lee Argir and Joey Mangner combined for a time of 1:55.25 beating the old record of 1:58.27 that was set in 1994.
Other first place finishers were Taylor Brodbeck, Jordan Smith, Zach Lee, Brian Jacobs and Collin Babycz.
