Beach Middle School Volleyball Plays Hard, Has Rough Afternoon on Courts

The 7 Gold team played Tecumseh Wednesday night and ended up losing the first two sets (11-25, 15-25), but came back for a strong win in the third.

Great saves were made by Elena Reginaldo, Zara Mida, and Gabby Ferrell on defense.

Celia Kwaske and LeeAnna McCurdy also held their own on serve receive. In the third game, Rylee Williams and Alba Syrovy earned a combined 10 points from their serves.

7Blue
The 7Blue volleyball team fought hard vs the Dexter team but came up short in the match.

Dexter won the first set 25-11 and Chelsea battled hard winning set two 25-17 before losing the third set 25-13.

Fiona Borcherding was the best server for the match serving consistently over for many points. Lila Keeler and Elise Begin had some solid net play to help win some points while Avery Lloyd and Sloane Steele tried their best to keep the Dawgs alive with their digs.

8Blue
8 Blue volleyball lost to Dexter Wednesday night but not without a fight. We took the lead in the first game and showed tough competition through the entire match.

Anna Moser played a mean setter and back row with many saves throughout the game. Maddie Wheeler had an amazing kill and Peyton Myers had many hits and tips over the net.

Kylie Koester, Claire Vaquera, and Ava Skrypec played strong in the back row. We will have a chance to face Dexter again at our tournament this weekend.

8 gold volleyball lost to Tecumseh Wednesday night, 16-25, 17-25,15-25.

Brooke Barlage led the team with 11 good serves, including 4 aces. Abria Eckert and Kaylin Schroeder also served well.

Phia Stanavich and Charlie Schmunk had an awesome block together. Charlie had several hits for the night.

Ella Gietzen, Macaela Webber, and Abria also had key saves. 

The team plays this Saturday at Dexter.
