The third set resulted in a loss of 25-10.

The team had multiple aces and consistent serving by Jenna Ouellette and Meghan Bareis to help secure a victory along with Gabriella Basar and Kyah Mitchell who provides nice passes and hits.

Bekah Henning, Lindsay Favre, Arianne Hunter each had serves over during the match while Rory Mickle had good set over to score a point.

The team returns home Wednesday vs Saline.

8th grade gold
Chelsea hosted the 8th Grade volleyball tournament last weekend and the Beach Middle School 8th grade gold team was 4th out of 9 teams in pool play.

They then went up against 8th Grade blue and lost a close match to finish out the day.

Highlights include continued serving strength from Sierra Suntheimer Emilee Underwood, Meg Boughton and Caitlin White all of whom led the team with their setting.

With hard serves coming from some of their opponents, Tara Howard, Zoe Rezler, and Willow Rowe had one of their best passing days.

Jordan Siefert, Jessie Wesley and Ella Samon came through for the team with service points to help out the team during the day. It was a good team effort.

On Monday, 8th grade Gold volleyball lost to Bedford. The team was caught off guard the first set with the first server and never recovered losing 25-4.

The 2nd and third sets the team fared better due to serving on our end from Sierra Suntheimer and Madi Kay, but the team again struggled with serve receive, losing both sets 25-14.

8th grade blue
The best team isn’t the team with the best players, but the team that plays best together.

With that being said, congratulations to the 8th grade blue volleyball with the win beating Dexter 17-25,  25-16,  25-17.
