Beach Middle School volleyball results from Oct. 2

7th Grade Blue

The 7th Grade Blue volleyball team lost to Bedford last night, 21-25, 10-25 and 9-25.

Julia Schachinger led serving with 5 points and Lindsey Atkinson had 4 points. Great defense was played by Maddie Kemp and Haley Townsend.

7th Grade Gold

Last night, the 7th Grade Gold Volleyball team lost a close match to Monroe. They lost the first set 21-25, then came back and won the second set 25-21, but lost the tiebreaker game.

Corrine Dale had a 3 point run with one ace, Tori Walz had a 4-point run with one ace, and Karie Reiber had 6-point run with 3 aces, while Grace Davis-Annis, Ally Muchler, and Skylar Staton all added an ace to the night. Great job girls.

8th Grade Blue

The 8th Grade Blue Volleyball team played their best match of the season last night against Bedford.  They won the first game and played tough offense and defense in the last two but ended up dropping both games.

Leading the Bulldogs was Brianna Loucks and Sydney Hines in serving, Emma Verrette and Morgan Moore with setting, Paige Stacy and Kendall Tucker with digs, and Kylie Saxton and Jordan Seitz at the net.

8th Grade Gold

The 8th Grade Gold Volleyball team won all 3 sets against Monroe.  First win was 25-19. Audrey Phillips led with 7 service points and several sets and tips at the net.  Kara Nold and Melissa Jolly had several hits in the front row.

The second score was 25-17. Emily Griggs served 7 in a row followed by Grace Bush with 5.  Griggs also played well at the net.

The third win was 24-18. The team played well together.  Alise Hale led with 7 serves followed by Zoe Steigerwald with 3. Maddie Cervany played well with 3 hits and a save for the night.  Maggie Duve also had a deep kill to the back line.
