Beach Middle School wrestlers celebrate season at Jet’s Pizza

The Beach Middle School wrestlers finished their season, 11-7, and the team’s end of the year party was held at Jet’s Pizza.

“The wrestlers would like to send a big thank you out to Jet’s Pizza for again hosting their end of the year party,” said Coach Gary Dosey.

Below are the end-of-the-season award winners.

The “20 Match Award” for wrestling in at least 20 middle school matches went to Cal Stacy, James Ostler, Raiden Weston, Brad Fischer, Shane Nold, Gabe Vowles, AJ Tokarski, Mitchell Reynolds, Jonathan Aquilino, Nickolaus Matusko, Zachary Dosey, Tom Kennings, Jack Krauss, and Dillon Hutchison.

Receiving the “Captain Award” were Zachary Dosey, Nickolaus Matusko, Shane Nold, and Mitchell Reynolds for serving as this year’s captains.

The “7th Grader Most Wins Award” went to AJ Tokarski who had 18 wins.

The “Most Wins Award” went to Mitchell Reynolds who had 29 wins.

The only “Teflon Award” recipient for not getting pinned all year was Nickolaus Matusko.

The “Sportsmanship Award” went to Andrew Byerly.

The “Most Improved Wrestler Award” went to Josiah Fitch. Two wrestlers close behind Josiah that improved a lot on the year were Mitchell Reynolds and Zachary Dosey who both had 14 more wins than their 7th grade year.

Jonathan Aquilino received the “Rookie of the Year Award.”

The “MVP Award” for being the most valuable wrestler on this year’s team went to Nickolaus Matusko. Nickolaus finished his 2 years of wrestling at Beach with an outstanding record of 48-2.
