On Jan. 30, the Beach Middle School Wrestling team hosted a 6-team round robin tournament.
Coming to Chelsea that night was Holt, Jackson Parma Western, Jackson Northwest, Grass Lake, and Chelsea split their team into Chelsea Blue and Chelsea Gold.
“I thought the kids showed a ton of improvement from our first meet to our second,” said Head Coach Shane Rodriguez, adding “The wrestlers are stepping up their skills and intensity and we can’t wait to see how we do in the next meet.”
Assistant Coach Dan Munker said, “There has been a tremendous amount of improvement regarding the kids and how well they execute their moves. It makes me very happy as a coach to see the kids improving so well.”
Earning one or two wins on the mat were Kallum Kajander, Quinn Vermeylen, Owen Lokers, Gabe Siler, Caleb Heller, Jack Milkey, Johnny Price, Owen Sponsler, Leo Wine, Lucas Federico, Breslin Wade, Wyatt Holzhausen, Nolan Pauley, Mishach Strong, Jack Warren, Avin Trevino, Adam Wilkinson, Desmond Hall, Zopheya Nemeth, Jerry Vasas, Phoenix Steckler, Bo Wacker, Gordon Thompson, Jackson Blaker, Jack Nielson, Jacob Tucker, and Logan Dawson.
Your Bulldogs travel down the road for a tri-meet this Tuesday, Feb. 3 at Dexter. The match will start around 4:30 p.m.
