Beach Volleyball Season Underway

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Corynne Eder, Ryann Skrypec, Laura Ouellette and Kim Eder for the information in this story.)

8th grade Gold Volleyball traveled to Lincoln for its first match.

Lincoln put up a good fight, but the Bulldogs were victorious. Chelsea won the first two sets (25-21, 25-18), and went to overtime in the third (26-28).

Sloane Steele and Scarlett Delong served up some aces for the team. We stood strong on defense with Lyla Palmer and Lila Keeler making some great saves in the back row. All the players worked very well together on the court. Can’t wait to see how they grow even stronger throughout the season.

The 7Blue team had a great start to the season winning all three sets in its home opener match vs. the Lincoln RailSplitters.

Set 1 had player Paisley Myers with some consistent rocket serves over the net scoring 10 points for her team win 25-15. Norah Hurst and Grace Jaynes chipped in with 3 points each and passing well.

Set 2 was won by the Dawgs 25-16 and was a team effort of reliable servers and good passing seen by Ellie Hurst.

Eighth grade Blue volleyball played Lincoln at home for our first game of the season. The team won all three sets.

Scoring big for the Bulldogs was Avery Lloyd with skilled sets and aces almost every serve. Rylee Williams rocked her serves and had some great swings at the net. Avery Cousino put up some great sets and had many plays at the net. Brooke Reiser had some great serves with many aces and played well at the net with some strong hits.

So proud of all of the players. Looking forward to a great season of growth and teamwork.

The Dawgs will travel to Monroe for another game this week.

7 gold volleyball won their season opener Monday night against Lincoln.

The Bulldogs earned a win in all three sets with the ace serving of Kylie Schroeder and Avery Edwards. Helping seal the win were hits from Emily Schultz, Milieya Nemeth, and Kylie. Avery and Phoenix Massey had tips and Lily Miller came up with a great save in the front row.

Great start to the season.
