For the last several years, Dexter residents June Mann and Patti Christian, have spent countless hours talking numerous local men into modeling one-of-a-kind bras, then having their photos taken in them.
And, the effort is all for a great cause — for an American Cancer Society fundraiser calendar that began as the BRAve Men of Dexter calendar and has expanded its geographic reach to men in neighboring communities.
Last year was no different.
The two ladies were able to get the Ben Daniels Band (you’ve heard of them, right?) to participate, and they lead off the 15-month calendar “BRAve Men of Dexter and Beyond” in the 2014 edition.
There are men from Dexter, Chelsea, Tecumseh, and Saline in this year’s version, Mann says, including a skydiver.
“There are some pretty exciting photos,” she says of this year’s calendar that sells for $20.
All proceeds go the the American Cancer Society and the calendars can be purchased in Dexter at:
