Brio Living Services Receives National Honor

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Lisa French for the information in this story.)

Brio Living Services, formerly UMRC and Porter Hills, was recently named one of the Top 101 Highest Scoring Winners in the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® National program.

In 2022, Brio Living Services was honored, not only as one of West Michigan’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For®—for the 20th consecutive year—but also a Best and Brightest Company to Work For® in the Nation.

In addition, Brio Living Services received the Elite award as The Best of the Best Medium Business in West Michigan.

The Top 101 list was announced on Dec. 13 by the National Association for Business Resources (NABR). The winning companies were assessed by an independent research firm which reviewed a number of key measures relative to other nationally recognized winners. These companies are not ranked. The Top 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in the Nation will be honored during the virtual Illuminate Business Summit week in February 2023.

“These companies have excelled to the very top of the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For at a national level,” said Jennifer Kluge, president and CEO, Best and Brightest Programs in a press release. “In many ways, they are years ahead of the business community as it relates to culture, engagement, and human resource trends.”

As an employer of choice, Brio Living Services has created several programs in the past year to show gratitude to its team members, including the launch of a $5.2 million commitment bonus program for eligible team members; enhanced recruiting and onboarding procedures; career path opportunities; and wellness programs that focus on the whole person, including resources for physical, mental, and financial health.

“To be honored in the Top 101 Best and Brightest organizations in the nation is an incredible tribute to our entire team,” said Michelle Henderson, Brio Living Services chief human resources officer in a press release. “This honor is a direct reflection of our team members at Brio Living Services who help deliver on our mission each day: Welcoming all, partnering together, enriching lives. We could not be more proud of this honor and of our dedicated team members who work tirelessly to improve the lives of older adults.”
