The Chelsea girl’s track and field team defeated Tecumseh, 91-45, on April 29.
“Many great performances came in, especially in the jumps,” said Shane Rodriguez, head coach.
Emma Hess had a lifetime best of 4′ 8″ in the high jump. Taylor King had a PR in the pole vault of 8′, and Sofi Gonzalez excelled in the long jump with a huge jump of 15′ 1.5″.
Also Laura McGrath had a great race in the open 400.
“Overall, this was a solid team effort, and we will need even better results next week to defeat Lincoln on Tuesday,” the coach said.
The girl’s team travels to Stockbridge Friday.
