Cellular and More’s 7th annual Adopt-A-Family Program turned out to be its biggest one yet.
Cellular and More, a 20-store Verizon Authorized Retailer, helped 22 Michigan families-in-need have a Christmas they may have otherwise gone without. Each of the stores was able to adopt a family within or surrounding their local community. These families were provided with warm clothing, toys, household items and even Christmas dinners.
“Being able to help local families gives us a real sense of community and helps us remember the true meaning of Christmas,” stated Dean Leja, Cellular and More vice-president and COO. “Christmas is a magical time of the year, people are so generous, and it’s such a great feeling knowing that we are able to give back to those who really need it.”

The previous record for families adopted in one year was 15, in 2016. With this year’s adoptions, Cellular and More has now adopted over 80 families in the seven-year history of the program.
Donations were raised through in-store inquiries and reaching out to local businesses.
Clients had the opportunity to donate any amount of money in-store and 100 percent of the funding and donations went directly to the families.
The company would like to thank all of the local businesses who donated and helped make this all possible.
