The Chelsea City Council recently signed an agreement with Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation for the border-to-border trail segment that will link the current trail at the roundabout in the City of Chelsea to Werkner Road and continue to Veterans Park.
The city will receive $200,000 in funding to construct the trail and will contribute $100,000 of city funds for the project.
The city will become the owner of that trail segment and will operate, maintain and repair the non-motorized trail segment.
