The Chelsea Area Wellness Foundation, Stockbridge Area Wellness Coalition, and Power Wellness will hold a grand opening of the Stockbridge Wellness Center on Saturday, Jan. 5 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
The grand opening features membership enrollment, tours of the facility, opportunities to meet the staff, prizes and giveaways.
To celebrate the opening, anyone who enrolls during January for a year’s membership has a chance to win a $500 Apple gift card.
The 5,400-square-foot facility is located in Lantis Plaza at 5116 S. M-106, and includes state of the art cardio equipment, group exercise classes, and fitness assessments.
“Development of this Wellness Center has been such a community collaboration,” said Amy Heydlauff, executive director of the Chelsea-Area Wellness Foundation. “The Stockbridge Area Wellness Coalition utilized committed, local talent from within and outside the Coalition. Now, let’s fill it up with community members who are equally motivated and hard working on behalf of their own health.”
The Chelsea-Area Wellness Foundation is a tax-exempt private foundation governed by a volunteer board of directors. The foundation serves the populations included in the school districts of Chelsea, Dexter, Grass Lake, Manchester and Stockbridge. CWF will grant funds for projects dedicated to creating a culture of wellness and sustainable improvements in health.
