Chelsea Board of Education, NPA township board petitions due July 21 for November election

If you would like to run for election to the Chelsea Board of Education, there are two seats available with terms expiring in December.

In addition, there is an opportunity for residents who would like to file for township board positions with no party affiliation (NPA).

The deadline to appear on the November ballot is 4 p.m. on July 21.

Currently in those Board of education seats are Board Vice President Tammy Lehman who was elected in 2010 and Board Member Dana Durst who was elected in 2014.

Both terms expire in December 2020.

If you are interested in more information about either of these board of education elected positions, please contact Board President Shawn Quilter at [email protected] or Superintendent of Schools Julie Helber at [email protected] for more information.

This document explains how the board of education process works.

Below is a document that explains how to file for the township board positions.
