Chelsea Boys Track and Field Splits with Tecumseh and Pinckney

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Eric Swager for the information in this story.)

Chelsea High School boys track and field finished Tuesday with a split decision. The Bulldogs easily handled Tecumseh 106-30, but were beaten by a deep talented Pinckney squad 87-48.

“We still have some guys getting in shape and learning events, but I thought our overall attitude and effort was good,” said coach Eric Swager.

Some highlights:  Our throwers and vaulters swept their events against both teams.  Brandon Snyder was a double winner in the long jump. Owen Smith, Connell Alford, and Zeb Swager all had PR’s and scored in the distance events, while our sprinters and hurdlers keep improving.

“It doesn’t get any easier for us, as our next SEC meet has us hosting Lincoln and Adrian next Tuesday,” the coach said.

Come on down to the track at 4 p.m. and support spring’s most exciting sport.
