Chelsea Community Fair: Aug. 20th schedule of events

Beginning with rabbit and poultry judging in the morning, the kiddie parade at 5:30 p.m. and ending with the last of the figure eight demolition derby, there will be a whole lot of pigs being judged tonight as the 82nd Chelsea Community Fair gets underway tonight.

You can grab breakfast at the fair kitchen beginning at 7 until 10:30 a.m., lunch beginning at 11 a.m. and dinner specials start at 4 p.m.

Rabbit judging begins at 9 a.m. followed by poultry judging at 11 a.m.

The green barn opens at noon and the merchant displays in the Merchant Barn opens an hour later at 1 p.m.

Beginning in the parking lot behind Common Grill downtown and ending at the fair grounds, the annual Kiddie Parade gets the party started with lots of children on decorated bikes.

At 5 p.m. both the rides and the swine judging begins. 

At 5:30 p.m., the bingo tent opens.

And be sure to stop by the Service Building for a terrific meal in the fair kitchen.

The figure 8 demolition derby in the Main Arena begins at 7:30 p.m.

Admission for those over 10 years old is $10, and children 10 and younger are free. A season pass is $30, while a student, senior and veteran season pass is $20. The carnival rides are not included. And parking is free.
