(Publisher’s note: I tried. Really I did. But not everyone who was at the meeting can be seen in this photo. I’m so sorry to those who were hidden from sight in this photo.)

Earlier this week, Rick Boham, president of the Chelsea Community Fair Board and Jeanne Trinkle, fair board treasurer, attended the Chelsea Athletic Boosters meeting at Chelsea High School and made a donation to the boosters for their volunteer efforts during fair.

The Chelsea Athletic Boosters volunteers man all the gates when you come into fair.  Boham reiterated how vital this time-consuming task is to the success of the fair each year.

(Second publisher’s note: I ditto Boham’s sentiments about this unsung group of volunteers. I go in and out of the fairgrounds numerous times per day throughout fair week and each time these folks smiled and welcomed me despite heat or wind or rain. Thank you for being such an important part not only of fair but also of the sports scene in the Chelsea School District. Your quiet, dedicated, behind-the-scenes, hard work is so important to the athletic community on so many levels. Thank you.)

Booster President Gretchen Steele provided a list of the booster volunteers who participated at fair. If you see them around town, please thank them.
