Chelsea District School year drawing to a close with multiple events

Did you know the current enrollment of Chelsea High School shows 214 freshman, 194 sophomores, 199 juniors and 232 seniors for a total enrollment of 839?

This will be a busy week for high school students with the Cum Laude Banquet taking place on May 15 beginning at 6 p.m.

Members of the Company C. Show choir will perform the spring show at the high school on Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18 with both performances beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Then on Tuesday, May 21 at 7 p.m. is the band/orchestra concert also at the high school.

Moving Up Day takes place on Friday, May 24 and senior exams are scheduled for Wednesday, May 30 and Thursday, May 31. (There is no school on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27.)

Did you know that the current enrollment at Beach Middle School is 563 students? There are 181 sixth-graders, 195 seventh-graders and 187 eighth-graders.

South Meadows Elementary School currently has 160 students in 3rd grade, 168 (plus one student who is home schooled) in 4th grade and 185 students in 5th grade for a total of 514 students.

In May, students at South Meadows participated in the ACES (All Children Exercising Simultaneously) by running, walking, jumping rope, playing basketball and participating in playground activities as well as enjoying the annual fruit and veggie challenge, which encourages students to only have fruits or vegetabes for snack time.

North Creek Elementary currently has 511 students enrolled with two who are home schooled. There are 203 in kindergarten, 140 in first grade and 168 in second grade.

In June, there will be a North Creek Field Day on June 5 and the PTO Ice Cream Social on June 7.
