Chelsea Field Hockey recently won big, 5-0, at home against Ann Arbor’s Father Gabriel Richard.

The Bulldogs so dominated the field that goalie Payton Doan didn’t see any action. First half goals were scored by senior – Madalyn Allen, junior – Annaliese Donahue and freshman – Molly Latimer (assist to Allen).

Second half goals were by seniors – Gabby Noble and Allen.

The team traveled to East Grand Rapids and was held to three shots on goal and one penalty corner. Unlike the home game, Doan saw plenty of action with 13 saves, and the home team scored their three goals in the first half defeating Chelsea.

In a second away game, the Bulldogs lost 4-1 against Cranbrook-Kingswood Academy. The team held its composure in very physical game in which a yellow card was drawn during the second half against a Cranbrook player.

Annaliese Donahue tipped in the only goal with an assist from Gabby Noble. Payton Doan had six saves with two team members saving on the post.

This week Chelsea Field Hockey will have a single home game against Grosse Pointe South at the Pierce Lake Field today, Sept. 7 at 4:30 pm.
