(Chelsea Update would like to thank Coach Dennis Strzyzewski for the information in this story.)
The Chelsea Freshman Football Team is 2-0 following a 35-20 road win Thursday night against Belleville.
Thomas Steele had three touchdown runs and a touchdown pass to Alex Sanborn.
Aiden Chisolm also had a touchdown run. Sanborn was also 5 for 5 on extra points.
The offensive of line of Hunter Adams, Will McFate, Wesley Sullivan, Joe McFate, and Jeret Hirst did a great job creating holes and protecting the passer the whole game.
Ethan Corkin-Howell and Andy Xiao were the leading tacklers for the Bulldogs, and Kyle Simmerman closed out the game with a key fumble recovery.
“We continue to preach the importance of competing as hard as we can,” says Freshman Coach Dennis Strzyzewski.
“We are not there yet,” the coach said, adding, “There were portions of the game where the kids really played hard, then we were just flat at times. That said, I am proud of the growth we are seeing; this is a fun group to be around.”
