Mi-Center-Relays-2015-2Bulldog-logo“We ran a great race for so early in the season,” said Coach Pat Clarke, who added, “Our first three runners gave us a comfortable lead.”

Then she said, “Our anchor runner Jesse Jacobusse then took the baton and ran a blazing race to seal the victory. I was very pleased with the girls’ efforts today. It was a great way to start the season.”

In the JV race, a freshman led the way with Natalie Gofton winning in 12:59, Sophomore Leah Pifer finished 3rd in 13:25, and Junior Maggie Tarasow finished 4th in 13:30.

“We have been working very hard in practice this week,” she said. “I was amazed that they ran as well as they did after that week of practice. “

The coach said, “We still have a long way to go to reach our season goals, but we are definitely on the right track. We must continue to work hard and improve if we want to be where we need to be by the season’s end.”
