Chelsea Girls Track and Field Second in SEC Meet

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Loren G. Thorburn for the information in this story. The final results are at the bottom of this story.)

Chelsea girls track and field earned 10 All-league honors, had a number of PRs, and kept the score close throughout the SEC meet.

Overall, the team finished 4-1 in dual meet record for the SEC White Division and placed second at the SEC Final Meet, finishing second in the league.

“I am really proud of how our team performed yesterday (Friday) and throughout the season,” said coach Loren Thorburn. “They continue to improve athletically and mentally given difficult situations that have arisen. This is a true sign of maturity and true competitiveness. I don’t think once we were full strength as a team, but we always competed hard with the lineup we had.”
