The Chelsea girls track and field team had a great day at the State Meet, scoring 12 points and placing in the top 20.
Plus, three girls earned All-State Honors. They were senior Christine Schultz, State Runner-Up in the pole vault (11′ 5″), junior Jesse Jacobusse 6th in the 1600m (5:09.39), and sophmore Sydney Matusik 8th in the 400m dash (60.04).
Other State competitors were Karana Wickens, Laney Miller, Hannah Almheimid, Kaehla Manly, Jenna Gileczek, Jacqueline Taylor, Allison Hughes, and Ailish Joyce.
“I am proud of how our team prepared and competed Saturday,” said coach Loren Thorburn.
