Chelsea High School Interact Club fundraiser for a ShelterBox

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Holly Reiser for the information in this story.)

The Chelsea High School Interact Club is working toward our mission of global community service by providing emergency housing to those in need.

Club members are seeking donations to purchase a shelter box – a kit containing items essential to families who have been displaced by disaster.

Right now, around 85 million people around the world have been displaced by natural disaster and conflict. ShelterBox is working to change this. By providing emergency shelter and tools for displaced families, we’re transforming despair into hope.

The club is striving for a world where no family is left without shelter. (https://www.shelterboxusa.org/)

The goal is to raise $1,000. This total will allow us to purchase a complete ShelterBox and have it shipped to a family in need.

Please help us make a difference by making a donation to this cause. Checks can be dropped off at Chelsea High School and should be payable to Chelsea High School with Interact in the memo line.

Please contact Holly Reiser ([email protected]) if you have questions or would like to schedule a time for an Interact member to collect your donation.

  1. Cheers to the Interact Club for this fine effort. And watch for them in April, camping out on the CHS front lawn in one of these shelters!
